Part Time Information Technology Project Manager (Adelphi, MD)

Part Time Information Technology Project Manager needed for our information technology client in Adelphi, MD.  The Part Time Information Technology Project Manager will be working in a education environment to manage a large upgrade in router technology at 29 locations throughout the State of Maryland.  Six month contract position. Non-negotiable pay rate of $82.00 per hour.

Essential Duties:

• Manage the in-take of all related equipment and recording of assets tags.
• Develop a timeline for deployment of the equipment.
• Coordinate with all campuses and other locations to identify installation time windows.
• Coordinate vendor schedules and meetings with outside entities.
• Document the deployment process including both template configuration and location nuances. Not all 29 locations will have the same configuration.
• Prepare monthly reports to the Board of Directors.
• Create, update and organize installation checklists.
• Monitor all project costs.
• Coordinate miscellaneous equipment orders as needed (cables, cards, optics).
• Interface with the reseller and the manufacturer as needed.
• Coordinate the location and documentation related to fiber optic cable.

Qualifications:

• At least eight years of information technology project management experience in a higher education technical setting is required.
  
• Must have experience managing routers and deployments.
  
• Must have PMP certification and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business or related field.
  
• Must be able to work 20 hours a week Monday through Friday on site.
  
• Must be able to pass a FBI background check and drug test.
