A prestigious 5-star hotel in Dubai is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Sales to join its Sales & Marketing team. The position requires a hotel sales professional with current or recent 5-star hotel sales experience in Dubai, strong knowledge of the local hospitality market and proven experience generating business across key market segments.
Candidates without recent Dubai 5-star hotel sales experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of Sales & Marketing in implementing the hotel's sales strategy and action plan.
- Generate revenue across Corporate, Leisure, Groups and MICE segments.
- Develop new leisure and corporate business.
- Manage relationships with corporate clients, DMCs, travel agencies, tour operators and event partners.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, site inspections and client entertainment.
- Negotiate corporate rates, group agreements and commercial contracts.
- Monitor Dubai hotel market trends, competitor activities and account production.
- Prepare sales forecasts and performance reports.
- Work closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Reservations and Operations to maximize business conversion.
Requirements:
- Current or recent sales experience in a 5-star hotel in Dubai.
- Minimum 4–5 years of hotel sales experience in Dubai.
- Currently or recently working as Assistant Director of Sales, Senior Sales Manager, Cluster Sales Manager or an equivalent senior hotel sales position.
- Strong knowledge of the Dubai 5-star hotel market.
- Proven experience in hotel sales and business development.
- Proven experience managing key hotel accounts.
- Experience across Corporate, Leisure, Groups and/or MICE segments.
- Established network within the Dubai hospitality and travel market.
- Proven record of achieving hotel sales targets and generating new business.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality, Business, Sales or Marketing.
- Experience with hotel CRM/PMS systems.
- Understanding of hotel pricing, forecasting and revenue management.
- Excellent English; additional languages are an advantage.
