Head Landscape Manager

Head Greenkeeper | Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic

We are looking for an experienced Head Greenkeeper to lead golf course maintenance operations and ensure exceptional playing conditions across the resort grounds.

Location: Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic

Salary: EUR 2,675 gross/month + up to EUR 400 monthly performance bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and daily operations of turf, landscaped, and ornamental areas across the golf resort
• Ensure high-quality playing conditions through the maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and surrounding facilities
• Plan and supervise turf renovation, landscaping, irrigation, and drainage projects
• Manage the maintenance and servicing of golf course machinery, tools, and equipment
• Monitor turf health, including weed, pest, and disease control, and oversee fertilization programs
• Coordinate golf course preparation and maintenance for daily operations, tournaments, and special events
• Ensure the highest standards of golf course quality and readiness, proper use of machinery and materials, compliance with maintenance procedures, effective team organization, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations
• Lead, train, and supervise the greenkeeping team, including scheduling and task allocation
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
• Maintain records of materials, chemical usage, and operational costs
• Collaborate with management on development projects, budgeting, and continuous course improvements
• Perform additional operational duties as required by resort management

Requirements

• Previous experience in golf course or sports turf maintenance
• Experience leading and managing a team
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and turf maintenance technologies
• Understanding of fertilization, plant protection, and landscape maintenance
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, especially during the golf season
• Valid driving license – Category B (Category T or C is an advantage)
• English or German language skills are an advantage
