About the job Sous Chef

We are looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join at a luxury resort in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Asian and Vietnamese cuisine, with proven expertise in Wok cooking and Dim Sum preparation.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
  • Prepare and execute authentic Asian and Vietnamese dishes, with a focus on Wok and Dim Sum specialties.
  • Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation across all menu items.
  • Supervise, train, and inspire kitchen staff to uphold high culinary standards.
  • Contribute to creative menu development and seasonal offerings.
  • Maintain food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in compliance with resort standards.
  • Manage stock, control food costs, and minimize waste.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a fine-dining or luxury hospitality industry 
  • Strong expertise in Wok cooking and Dim Sum preparation.
  • In-depth knowledge of Asian and Vietnamese cuisine and ingredients.
  • Creative flair and passion for developing new and exciting dishes.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
