About the job Sous Chef
We are looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join at a luxury resort in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Asian and Vietnamese cuisine, with proven expertise in Wok cooking and Dim Sum preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Prepare and execute authentic Asian and Vietnamese dishes, with a focus on Wok and Dim Sum specialties.
- Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation across all menu items.
- Supervise, train, and inspire kitchen staff to uphold high culinary standards.
- Contribute to creative menu development and seasonal offerings.
- Maintain food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in compliance with resort standards.
- Manage stock, control food costs, and minimize waste.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a fine-dining or luxury hospitality industry
- Strong expertise in Wok cooking and Dim Sum preparation.
- In-depth knowledge of Asian and Vietnamese cuisine and ingredients.
- Creative flair and passion for developing new and exciting dishes.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
