What you'll do

The Assistant Brand Manager will have a strong understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and the ability to contribute innovative ideas to drive brand visibility, engagement, and sales. The ABM will collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute marketing strategies that effectively position our products and engage target audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Strategy and Development: Collaborate with the Brand Manager to develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies that align with company objectives and resonate with target consumers.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify consumer trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities. Translate insights into actionable strategies that drive brand growth.
  • Campaign Planning and Execution: Assist in the planning, development, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, traditional media, and experiential marketing.
  • Product Launches: Support the successful launch of new products by contributing to launch plans, messaging, and promotional activities. Monitor and analyze product performance post-launch.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and creative services, to ensure alignment and seamless execution of brand initiatives.
  • Content Creation: Work with the creative team to develop compelling and effective marketing collateral, including advertisements, packaging, point-of-sale materials, and digital content.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the management of the brand marketing budget, tracking expenses and ensuring efficient allocation of resources for maximum ROI.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing initiatives. Provide actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

What you need to succeed

  • 3+ years of brand marketing experience in FMCG and demonstrate a track record of effectively managing and expanding a brand.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, market dynamics, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Creative mindset with a proven track record of contributing innovative ideas to marketing campaigns.
  • Proficiency in market research and data analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, social media platforms, and online engagement strategies.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and marketing software/tools.
  • Native Japanese and Business level English is a MUST
