The Right Profile

The CEO Hong Kong / Head of Hong Kong will be the overall owner and leader of Syfe's operations, strategy, and performance in the Hong Kong market. This is a high-impact, P&L-responsible executive role, reporting directly to the Regional/Group Leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing a local strategy that aligns with Syfe's mission, drives exponential client and Asset Under Management (AUM) growth, and ensures operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• P&L and Strategic Leadership: Own the Hong Kong P&L, set annual business objectives, and develop the local strategy to drive market share growth across all product pillars (Managed Portfolios, Brokerage, Cash Management, MPF Advisory, etc.).
• Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Serve as the most senior representative in Hong Kong, ensuring full adherence to all regulatory requirements set by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA), coordinating closely with Group Legal and Compliance.
• Business Development & Growth: Lead local client acquisition efforts, forge strategic partnerships, and build a powerful local brand presence in the wealth and fintech ecosystem.
• Team Management: Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing cross-functional team, fostering a culture of innovation and client-centricity.
• Product Localisation: Partner with the Group Product team to identify and execute localisation opportunities (e.g., MPF solutions, local market access) to ensure Syfe's offerings are competitive and highly relevant to Hong Kong investors.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in the financial services or fintech sector, with 5+ years in a senior leadership or management role (e.g., Country Head, GM, Managing Director).
• Deep understanding of the Hong Kong financial regulatory environment, including knowledge of SFC Type 1, 4, and 9 licenses.
• Demonstrable P&L management and strong commercial acumen.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven track record launching or scaling a digital wealth, brokerage, or asset management business in Hong Kong or a similar highly regulated Asian market.
• Active licensing status with the SFC (Responsible Officer status strongly preferred).
• Experience with MPFA regulations or pension/retirement products.
• MBA or a Master's degree from a top-tier university.
• Fluency in English, Cantonese, and/or Mandarin to effectively communicate with local teams, clients, and regulators.
