What You'll do:

Design complex event-driven architectures for distributed systems;

Define message types, asynchronous communication patterns, scalability strategies, event persistence (Event Sourcing), and service integration;

Lead the implementation of Event Sourcing, Data Streaming, and CQRS in production environments;

Architect and guide solutions using technologies such as Kafka, Service Bus, or RabbitMQ in mission-critical scenarios;

Design and implement cloud architectures on Azure, including Event Hubs, Functions, Service Bus, and related services;

Collaborate closely with development teams and stakeholders to ensure technical alignment and delivery success;

Provide architectural leadership and support throughout the software lifecycle;

What You Are:

Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent, from a higher education institution in Portugal or officially recognized in Portugal;

10+ years of experience as a developer, with a clear transition into solution design roles;

At least 3 years of experience as an architect or tech lead for distributed solutions;

Hands-on experience designing and implementing complex event-driven systems;

Proven experience defining key architectural components: message schemas, async communication patterns, scalability models, and event persistence;

Solid experience with Kafka, Service Bus, or RabbitMQ in critical production environments;

Production experience with Event Sourcing, Data Streaming, and CQRS patterns;

Strong experience with Azure cloud architecture (e.g., Event Hubs, Functions, Service Bus);

Deep knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases;

Excellent technical communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
