What You'll do:
- Support and maintain Oracle Linux and Debian/Ubuntu systems across production and test environments.
- Configure IPv4 networks, manage NFS/CIFS filesharing, and administer Linux LVM volumes.
- Automate routine tasks and system configurations using Shell scripting and Ansible.
- Use Foreman for provisioning and system management.
- Assist in maintaining Pacemaker clusters, DRBD replication, and HAProxy for load balancing and availability.
- Configure and maintain Apache web servers, perform SSH tuning, and manage package installations.
- Contribute to system hardening, apply CVE mitigations, and monitor system performance.
- Perform troubleshooting across OS, applications, performance, and network issues.
- Administer virtual environments using OracleVM (Xen) and carry out operations in VMware vCenter.
- Manage user access, permissions, ACLs, and ensure secure filesystem configurations.
What You Are:
- 3+ years of experience working in Linux environments, particularly with Oracle Linux and Debian/Ubuntu.
- Practical experience in automation, networking, and filesystem management.
- A working knowledge of HA solutions (Pacemaker, DRBD, HAProxy) and provisioning tools like Foreman.
- Familiarity with security practices, including hardening, CVE mitigation, and access control.
- Solid skills in troubleshooting complex issues related to OS, performance, and networks.
- Comfort with virtualization platforms, especially OracleVM (Xen) and VMware vCenter operations.
- A collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and eagerness to deepen technical expertise.
