Senior Data Engineer – Fintech / Compliance

What You'll do:

- Design & Build: Develop scalable, efficient, and fault-tolerant data products using Azure and Snowflake;

- Collaboration: Partner with the Product Owner and Tech Lead to refine and deliver prioritized use cases;

- Stakeholder Engagement: Interact directly with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions;

- Platform Integrity: Ensure the data platform remains secure, well-monitored, performant, and follows modern data architecture patterns;

Who You Are:

- Experience: Minimum 3 years in data engineering within a fast-paced, large-scale production environment;

- SQL Expert: Demonstrable skills in high-performance query design and optimization;

- Cloud & Snowflake: Deep experience with Snowflake (including SnowSQL) and building production systems using cloud services;

- ETL/ELT: Comprehensive understanding of data warehousing and data transformation processes;

- Development Tools: Proficient with CI/CD (Azure DevOps), Git, and scripting languages like Python;

- AI Integration: Practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) to improve productivity and code quality;

- Methodology: Strong experience working in an Agile development environment;

- Fluent in english; 

Nice to have:

- Snowflake Certification (huge plus);

- Experience with dbt, Fivetran, Azure Data Factory, or Matillion;

- Knowledge of visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or ThoughtSpot;

- Background in the Financial Services industry;

- Familiarity with data governance, security, and emerging AI-driven development practices (agent-based workflows, etc.);
