Referral Terms & Conditions

By participating in the Symbolic Recruitment Referral Program (the “Program”), you (“Referrer,” “you,” or “your”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these terms carefully before referring any candidates. If you do not agree, you may not participate in the Program.
1. Eligibility to Participate
1.1. The Program is open to individuals who are aged 18 years or older, and who have received permission from the referred candidate to provide their details.
1.2. Employees of Symbolic Recruitment and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
2. Referral Process
2.1. To refer a candidate, you must submit their information using the designated referral form available on the Symbolic Recruitment website or through a method provided by our recruitment team.
2.2. The referred candidate must be a new candidate to Symbolic Recruitment. If the candidate is already in our database or has applied for a position within the last 12 months, the referral will not be eligible for a reward.
2.3. The referred candidate must give consent to be referred and to have their personal details shared with Symbolic Recruitment.
3. Referral Reward
3.1. If the referred candidate is successfully placed in a permanent or contract role through Symbolic Recruitment within 3 months of the referral, you will be eligible for a referral reward.
3.2. The reward amount and conditions (e.g., monetary reward, vouchers, etc.) will be communicated to you at the time of the referral. Symbolic Recruitment reserves the right to change the reward amount at any time without notice.
3.3. The referral reward will be paid or issued only after the referred candidate has completed the specified probationary period, typically 3 months, in their new role.
3.4. Rewards are limited to one per successful referral, regardless of how many times the candidate is placed by Symbolic Recruitment.
4. Conditions for Reward Payment
4.1. The referred candidate must remain in the role for the minimum probationary period of 3 months. If the candidate leaves or is terminated before completing this period, the reward will not be paid.
4.2. Symbolic Recruitment will contact you within a week after the referred candidate completes the probationary period to arrange for reward payment or issuance.
4.3. If the candidate is placed in a role on a short contract basis, the referral reward will only be paid after the candidate has completed at least 4 weeks of continuous work through Symbolic Recruitment.
5. Disqualification
5.1. Symbolic Recruitment reserves the right to disqualify any Referrer if:
- The referral was made without the candidate’s consent.
- The Referrer is found to have breached these Terms and Conditions.
- There is any evidence of fraud, abuse, or suspicious activity.
5.2. Any fraudulent activity or violation of these terms will result in immediate disqualification from the Program, and Symbolic Recruitment reserves the right to recover any rewards paid under such circumstances.
6. Limitation of Liability
6.1. Symbolic Recruitment accepts no liability for any tax implications that may arise from the receipt of the referral reward. It is your responsibility to seek independent financial or tax advice.
6.2. Symbolic Recruitment is not responsible for any losses, damages, or injuries that may occur as a result of your participation in the Program.
7. Confidentiality
7.1. By participating in the Program, you agree to maintain the confidentiality of any confidential or proprietary information you may receive as part of the referral process, including information regarding Symbolic Recruitment, its clients, and the referred candidate.
8. Amendments to the Program
8.1. Symbolic Recruitment reserves the right to modify or terminate the Referral Program at any time without prior notice.
8.2. Any changes to these Terms and Conditions will be effective immediately upon posting to the Symbolic Recruitment website. Your continued participation in the Program after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising out of or related to the Program will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
