Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Nights)

Job Role & Responsibilities:

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer working night shifts, responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical systems within a clean food production environment. Reporting into an Engineering Supervisor, the role focuses on ensuring minimal downtime of automated production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical fault finding, diagnostics, repair and installation
• Wiring and maintenance of control panels, inverters, sensors and three-phase systems
• Mechanical maintenance including bearings, gearboxes, pumps and valves
• Planned and reactive maintenance on automated conveyors and associated processing machinery
• Supporting continuous operation of slicing, wrapping and labelling equipment
• Working effectively under pressure within a small shift team

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Strong electrical bias with proven hands-on fault-finding ability
• Mechanical maintenance experience in a production environment
• Background in FMCG or food manufacturing
• Experience working with automated conveyor systems
• Ability to work night shifts (Sunday to Thursday, 9pm–6am)
• Confidence working as part of a two-person shift team

Desirable Skills:

• Recognised apprenticeship or relevant electrical qualification
• Experience with control panels and automation equipment
• Familiarity with clean food production environments
