Were looking for a practical, hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a small, supportive engineering team near Ipswich. If you enjoy varied mechanical work, don't mind a dusty/industrial environment and like a mix of workshop and site-based tasks, this could be a great fit.

What you'll be doing:

• Mechanical maintenance and repairs across a range of plant and equipment.

• Working on mixers, hoppers, cranes, trucks and general machinery.

• Supporting agricultural systems (feeders, drinkers, heaters, site kit).

• Diagnosing faults and keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.

• Travelling to local sites for breakdowns and installations.

• Joining an every-other-weekend call-out rota (with additional payments).

What we're looking for:

• Level 3 Mechanical qualification or strong equivalent experience.

• Confident working on plant, vehicles, and general mechanical systems.

• Comfortable in a dusty, dirty, heavy industrial/agricultural environment.

• Background from industrial, forces, heavy plant, automotive or agriculture.

• Basic electrical knowledge is useful but not essential.

Pay & Benefits

£42,000 basic salary (weekly pay)

Overtime:

- Midweek over 8 hours & Saturdays: x1.5

- After 48 hours: x1.33

Every other weekend call-out: £100 standby + paid call-out hours

25 days holiday + bank holidays
