Senior Toolmaker

Job Title: Senior Toolmaker.

Salary: up to £45000+ benefits including learning & development.

Shift:  Days only, Monday - Friday.

Industry: Plastics Manufacturing.

Synergi is recruiting for a Senior Toolmaker to join a large Industrial site in the Hayes area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy site with a range of machinery. The successful Senior Toolmaker will be joining an experienced team with a vast amount of industry knowledge.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• To manufacture all work as specified by the Tool Order Request using current issue design drawings.
• To be capable of working to BS 308 drawing standards and its associated BS standards.
• Confident using various methods of measurement with equipment such as: Micrometres, Verniers, Slip gauges, Pin and Thread gauges, Shadow graph, etc.
• Responsible for the repair, maintenance and improvement of mould and press tooling.
• Responsible for inspecting and testing your work to ensure all tooling lies within specification, meets quality standards and functional requirements.
• To comply with all current work instructions operable within your area of activity.
• To comply fully with all current Health and Safety regulations in operation within the Company whilst carrying out your toolroom duties.
• Responsible for basic machine maintenance and good housekeeping.

Ideal background:

• Engineering qualification / time served apprenticeship.
• Hold a current Abrasive Wheels Regulations certificate.
• Laser welding experience is desirable.
• Be aware of current moulding and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to progress and troubleshoot/investigate multiple jobs simultaneously.
