Role: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Mitcham, Croydon

Shift Pattern: 12 hours, Days & Nights

Salary: up to £51,000

Synergi is looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work for a leading food manufacturer in Croydon with strong mechanical and electrical skills. You will be resilient and adaptable due to the nature of the fast-paced environment you will be working within. Using your own initiative will be key a lot of the time.

Your primary goal will be to ensure that processes and systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including motors, PLCs, control panels, sensors, and circuits.
• Support mechanical maintenance tasks including pumps, conveyors, valves, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, bearings, and gearboxes.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems and components as per specifications.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant regulations (e.g., IEE wiring regulations).

Ideal background:

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Additional certification like 18th edition.
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment (FMCG).
• Able to demonstrate a strong work ethic.

Overtime and call out rates will be applicable
