Job Role & Responsibilities:

• Conduct reactive, planned and preventative maintenance across a variety of manufacturing, packaging, and processing equipment
• Carry out electrical and mechanical fault-finding and diagnostics to minimise downtime
• Collaborate with internal teams to prioritise and complete engineering tasks efficiently
• Ensure all engineering activities adhere to food safety and health & safety standards
• Accurately complete documentation and maintain audit-ready records
• Identify and recommend improvements for increased efficiency, safety, and reliability
• Contribute to continuous improvement and risk-reduction initiatives
• Support with installations, modifications, and equipment upgrades

The ideal candidate will have:

• Time-served, apprentice-trained engineer with a formal electrical qualification
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering
• Proven maintenance experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
• Strong fault-finding abilities both electrical and mechanical
• 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
• A proactive, hands-on attitude with a passion for engineering excellence

Desirable Skills:

• IOSH qualification or other Health & Safety credentials
• PLC fault-finding and diagnostic experience
• Familiarity with food industry compliance standards
