Salary: £50,069.88
Shifts: 4-on 4-off (2 days, 2 nights, 42 hours per week)

About the Role

A leading UK food manufacturing site is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team. This is a key role in maintaining essential production equipment, delivering both proactive and reactive maintenance, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

You will work within a fast-paced, highly regulated setting where engineering reliability and attention to detail are critical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform fault diagnosis, repair and preventative maintenance on a range of production machinery.
  • Support safe, compliant operations by adhering to Health & Safety, GMP, HACCP and COSHH requirements.
  • Work with PLCs and automation systems (Mitsubishi experience is desirable).
  • Liaise with production and other departments to support operational goals.
  • Accurately log completed work via the Computer Maintenance Management System.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

Requirements

  • Time-served Electrical Engineer with relevant qualifications or apprenticeship.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideally food or FMCG.
  • Proficiency in electrical fault finding and mechanical maintenance.
  • Familiarity with PLC/servo drive systems (preferably Mitsubishi).
  • Good communication skills, a team-oriented approach, and a flexible attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene standards and site-based safety systems.
