Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to carry out reactive and preventative maintenance in a busy FMCG manufacturing environment. You will support continuous improvement initiatives and work closely with other departments to optimise equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• React promptly to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults, analyse issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Perform both reactive and planned maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve site operations.
• Maintain safe working practices and clear communication at all times.
• Attend meetings, analyse performance data, and recommend continuous improvements.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Formal qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering (apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC, or equivalent).
• Strong electrical experience, preferably in FMCG.
• Skilled in controls, automation hardware, and software.
• Experience in reactive and preventative maintenance.
• Excellent technical, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplined team.

Desirable Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and fault analysis capabilities.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with production line automation and PLCs.
