Junior Python Developer

About the project:

SysGears is a software development company that specializes in creating custom web and mobile applications for business enterprises all over the world. Founded in 2010, SysGears provides full-cycle development services, starting from research and prototyping, through to design and implementation, testing and optimization, deployment and maintenance.

Requirements:

- 1+ years of commercial experience in Python (3.9+) web development
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, token-based authentication, and relational databases
- Familiarity with FastAPI, Pandas, NumPy, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, or similar libraries
- Basic understanding of mathematical statistics, LLMs, and prompt engineering
- English - B1-B2 level (confident in both oral and written communication)
- Team player comfortable with direct communication and remote collaboration

Responsibilities:

- Implement new financial analysis and data enrichment features based on client requirements
- Build clean and well-structured APIs to integrate with an Angular-based frontend
- Ensure efficient processing, transformation, and storage of datasets
- Actively participate in daily Zoom meetings, submit daily written progress reports, and contribute code regularly

Nice to have:

- Experience with Streamlit and Plotly (project is migrating to FastAPI + Angular)
- Experience with Angular (even non-commercial)
- Experience with JVM-based technologies (even non-commercial)
- GitHub profile with visible Python contributions
