About the job Part-time Bookkeeper
TA Resources specializes in recruiting for small businesses. Currently we are seeking a Part-time Bookkeeper for one of our clients. Our client is a privately held, family-owned company. Based in Vernon Hills, IL, they design, develop, and manufacture medical devices.
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting month-end reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with QuickBooks Enterprise and Microsoft Excel, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive, organized approach to their work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions and reconcile accounts.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with management to ensure accurate financial data and compliance with company policies.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (experience in a small business environment preferred).
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience in the medical supply or healthcare industry is a plus but not required.

Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week
