We are currently searching for a Facility Maintenance Technician for our client located in Lake Forest, IL. This is a full-time on-site role located in Lake Forest.

Our client is an entrepreneurial company that provides contract manufacturing services to the cosmetics and personal care fields. They've been in business since 2018 and have grown at a very fast pace since that time. They specialize in developing and packaging liquids, creams, and hot-fill personal care products into bottles, tubes, jars, sachets, packets, and other package formats.

The Facility Maintenance GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall functionality, safety, and cleanliness of the facility while ensuring compliance with GMP regulations. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility systems, and utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine facility maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to ensure compliance with GMP standards.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance schedules for facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building infrastructure.
  • Maintain documentation related to GMP facility maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and compliance reports.
  • Ensure the facility remains clean, organized, and in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in facility modifications, renovations, and new equipment installations.
  • Contributing member of safety team.
  • Identify and report any facility-related deviations or non-conformances that may impact operations or compliance.
  • Support audits and inspections by regulatory bodies and internal quality teams.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies for facility-related activities.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on facility maintenance and GMP compliance best practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification in facility maintenance, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs.
  • Familiarity of GMP, FDA, and other regulatory compliance requirements in a manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking facility maintenance activities.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Capability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
