Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and media-savvy Public Relations (PR) & Media Executive to lead our external communications and enhance the brand visibility of our consulting firm. This role involves developing and executing PR strategies, managing media relationships, and overseeing the dissemination of press content through top-tier channels such as PR Newswire and other distribution agencies. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, experience with media outreach and press distribution, and a deep understanding of the consulting or B2B landscape. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to craft compelling narratives, amplify thought leadership, and build a strong public presence for the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Public Relations & Media Strategy:
- Draft compelling press releases, media advisories, briefing documents, and key messaging.
- Maintain relationships with journalists, editors, industry publications, and media partners.
- Monitor media coverage and provide regular reporting on PR performance and media sentiment.
- Develop and implement strategic PR plans to raise the firm's profile and support business objectives.
- PR Dissemination & Distribution:
- Manage end-to-end PR content dissemination including scheduling and targeting of press releases.
- Coordinate with PR distribution services such as PR Newswire, Business Wire, and GlobeNewswire to ensure timely, accurate, and wide-reaching distribution.
- Oversee the performance of distributed PR campaigns and optimize for reach, engagement, and pickup.
- Maintain vendor relationships with PR aggregators like PR Newswire and ensure compliance with brand and editorial guidelines.
- Media Relations & Thought Leadership:
- Support the development and placement of thought leadership articles, op-eds, and bylines authored by subject matter experts.
- Pitch stories and company news to tier-1 and industry-specific media outlets.
- Identify and secure speaking engagements, award nominations, and media opportunities for consultants and executives.
- Digital & Social Media Integration:
- Collaborate with digital marketing teams to amplify PR content across social and owned digital channels.
- Monitor online conversations and handle reactive and crisis communications when needed.
- Track media and industry trends to inform campaign development and messaging.
