About the job AVP - Corporate Development (M&A, Gaming)
Client - One of the Top Gaming companies from India with a Global presence
To build and manage a robust pipeline of investment, merger, and acquisition targets across the gaming, digital content, and creator economy sectors, conducting end-to-end deal execution from sourcing to closing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pipeline Building & Sourcing: Proactively identify, research, and reach out to potential gaming studios, tech platforms, and content companies (buy-side).
- Strategic Analysis: Analyze the competitive landscape of the gaming industry to identify inorganic growth opportunities.
- Due Diligence: Conduct detailed financial, operational, and strategic due diligence on target companies.
- Valuation & Modeling: Build financial models, synergy assessments, and valuation analyses.
- Transaction Execution: Support negotiations, transaction structuring, and documentation.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with internal leadership, external advisors, and target company founders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 4–10 years of experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, or Strategic Consulting.
- Sector Knowledge: Deep passion for and understanding of the gaming landscape (mobile, PC, console, esports).
- Analytical Rigor: Strong proficiency in Excel-based financial modeling and data analysis.
- Communication: Excellent networking and negotiation skills to manage the outreach "funnel".
- Education: MBA or similar degree in Finance or Strategy preferred.
