Our US partner is a restaurant group operating four individually unique restaurants in the New York metropolitan area. The role will oversee the company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. Additional tasks include performing daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and recording payments and adjustments.


This is a full-time role, on a US shift and a Work-from-home set-up.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
  • Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
  • Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
  • Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
  • Responsible for completing monthly sales summaries for all restaurants including; ghost kitchens, and all third-party apps like grubhub, ubereats, doordash, and chownow.
  • Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
  • Maintains historical records by filling documents.
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Maps invoices through Plate IQ.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying
  • requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Establishing and implementing financial standards and procedures
  • Conducting detailed financial and operational analysis
  • Managing complex data and multi-faceted financial transactions
  • Preparing and presenting accurate financial reports and research findings
  • Proficient in data entry with a high level of speed and accuracy
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Familiarity with SFAS (Statements of Financial Accounting Standards) compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Committed to accuracy, thoroughness, and consistency in all financial documentation
  • Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Previous bookkeeping experience preferred.
  • Experience in working with multiple legal entities.
