QA Manual Tester

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mid-Level Manual Software Tester to join our QA team. You will be responsible for creating and executing test cases for both mobile and web applications to ensure the highest quality in product releases. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in manual testing, has a keen eye for detail, and is experienced in identifying, documenting, and reporting bugs with clarity and precision.

This is a full-time role, and a Hybrid setup.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review requirements and design detailed test cases for web and mobile platforms (iOS/Android).

• Execute manual tests, log defects, and validate bug fixes across multiple platforms.

• Perform exploratory, functional, usability, smoke, and regression testing.

• Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure a consistent user experience.

• Analyze and validate API requests/responses using tools like Postman.

• Use proxy tools such as Proxyman, Charles Proxy, or Fiddler to monitor and debug network traffic and API calls.

• Document and report bugs in a clear, concise, and reproducible manner, using tools like Jira or Bugzilla.

• Ensure bugs are properly categorized, prioritized, and tracked through to resolution.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members throughout the SDLC.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 35 years of manual software testing experience, with a strong focus on mobile and web applications.

• Experience testing on both real devices and simulators/emulators for iOS and Android.

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test case design, and defect life cycle.

• Strong knowledge in bug reporting, including identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs effectively with detailed steps to reproduce, severity, and impact.

• Hands-on experience using proxy tools like Proxyman, Charles Proxy, or Fiddler.

• Proficiency with tools such as Postman for API testing and validation.

• Familiarity with test case and defect management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, Jira).

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile environment.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and backend systems.

• Exposure to performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, BlazeMeter, or similar).

• Experience with accessibility testing tools and guidelines.

• ISTQB certification or equivalent.
