We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with 10–15 years of experience to join our Atlanta office. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven, collaborative professional looking to take on a leadership role within a dynamic, forward-thinking engineering firm. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with client-facing and business development capabilities.

In this role, you will work directly with clients, collaborate closely with discipline leaders and business development teams, and play a key role in mentoring and growing a high-performing structural engineering team within a multidisciplinary environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead structural analysis, design, and detailing for commercial, industrial, institutional, federal, and infrastructure projects

  • Design steel, concrete, and masonry systems for new and existing construction

  • Coordinate complex, multi-discipline projects from concept through construction

  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and owners

  • Develop fee-based and qualification-based proposals

  • Participate actively in marketing and business development initiatives

  • Mentor junior engineers and support team development

  • Collaborate with other regional offices to deliver integrated project solutions

  • Maintain strong internal and external client relationships

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license

  • 10–15 years of progressive structural engineering experience

  • Proven experience designing steel, concrete, and masonry structures

  • Strong project management skills, including budget and schedule oversight

  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and time management skills

  • Proficiency with structural analysis and design software (RISA, RAM, ETABS, Enercalc, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)

  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with light-gauge steel and timber design

  • Local AHJ experience and established industry relationships

  • Active involvement in professional or industry organizations

  • Project Management certifications a plus
