About the job Senior Structural Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with 10–15 years of experience to join our Atlanta office. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven, collaborative professional looking to take on a leadership role within a dynamic, forward-thinking engineering firm. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with client-facing and business development capabilities.
In this role, you will work directly with clients, collaborate closely with discipline leaders and business development teams, and play a key role in mentoring and growing a high-performing structural engineering team within a multidisciplinary environment.
What You'll Do

Lead structural analysis, design, and detailing for commercial, industrial, institutional, federal, and infrastructure projects

Design steel, concrete, and masonry systems for new and existing construction

Coordinate complex, multi-discipline projects from concept through construction

Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables

Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and owners

Develop fee-based and qualification-based proposals

Participate actively in marketing and business development initiatives

Mentor junior engineers and support team development

Collaborate with other regional offices to deliver integrated project solutions

Maintain strong internal and external client relationships
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
-
Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license

10–15 years of progressive structural engineering experience

Proven experience designing steel, concrete, and masonry structures

Strong project management skills, including budget and schedule oversight

Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and time management skills

Proficiency with structural analysis and design software (RISA, RAM, ETABS, Enercalc, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)

Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Willingness to travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with light-gauge steel and timber design
-
Local AHJ experience and established industry relationships

Active involvement in professional or industry organizations

Project Management certifications a plus
