Senior Solution Architect (Big Data & Modern Platform)

Our client is a fast-growing technology firm specializing in advanced data platforms and enterprise data solutions. The company is expanding its product and implementation capabilities to support large-scale digital transformation across leading organisations. They provide end-to-end data solutions, covering data engineering, analytics, real-time processing, and modern data platform implementation on cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.

This role is part of their Implementation Team, working closely with enterprise clients and internal engineering teams to deliver high-impact, scalable solutions.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect with a strong foundation in system architecture, enterprise infrastructure, and solution design.
While prior experience in Big Data or modern data platforms is a plus, it is not mandatory the company is open to candidates with solid architectural experience who are eager to grow their expertise in data-driven and large-scale systems.

This position plays a key role in shaping technical solutions, supporting pre-sales, and guiding successful implementation for enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Solution Design

• Design and propose end-to-end technical architectures that meet business and technical requirements.

• Create high-level designs, system blueprints, and technical proposals in collaboration with product, engineering, and delivery teams.

• Lead architectural discussions around cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.

• Translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with sales and pre-sales teams to support proposal development and solution positioning.

• Provide architectural oversight during project execution and ensure alignment with standards and best practices.

• Collaborate with developers, infrastructure engineers, and operations teams to ensure smooth implementation.

• Identify architectural risks and propose mitigation plans.

Client Engagement

• Participate in technical workshops with clients.

• Present architecture recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Assist in troubleshooting and performance optimization during implementation.

Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 3 years in Solution Architecture, System Architecture, or similar roles designing enterprise-level systems.

• Proven experience designing architectures across infrastructure, application, and integration layers.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, sales, product, operations).

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of core IT infrastructure: network, server, storage, virtualization, and security fundamentals.

• Good knowledge of architecture design patterns (integration, high availability, DR, scalability, security).

• Familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud approaches.

• Ability to produce architecture diagrams, proposals, and technical documentation.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to simplify complex technical concepts.

• Strong stakeholder management and requirements interpretation.

• Analytical, structured thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.

• Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable leading discussions or technical workshops.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Big Data or modern data platform technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, NoSQL, Lakehouse architectures).

• Experience designing data pipelines, analytics solutions, or data platform components.
