About the job Business Develop and Partnership
Senior Business Development & Partnership Manager
ViaBus | Bangkok, Thailand | THB 50,000 – 80,000/month
About ViaBus
ViaBus is a transportation technology company building real-time transit tracking and fleet management solutions. Our platform serves public transit operators, corporates, and government agencies across Thailand and Southeast Asia.
About the Role
This is a senior individual contributor role — you'll own your own accounts and pipeline end to end, not manage a team. It's also a partnership-building role rather than a transactional sales one.
You'll drive enterprise and public-sector deals across Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Japan — from first conversation through TOR, bidding, and contract signature. Deals run on annual contracts tied to client budgeting cycles, so success is measured in relationships built and pipeline matured, not monthly close rates.
You'll act as a consultant to your clients: understanding their operational problems, mapping ViaBus solutions to real use cases, and articulating business impact in terms their finance and operations teams can approve. All regional business is conducted in English.
What You'll Do
- Identify, approach, and close corporate and government accounts across Thailand and target Asian markets (Malaysia, Philippines, Japan)
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with multiple stakeholders per account — operations, IT, procurement, and executive sponsors
- Run consultative discovery: understand the client's transport or fleet challenge, then design and present the use case and quantified business impact
- Prepare and manage B2B commercial documents: proposals, TOR responses, tender and bidding submissions
- Work with product and engineering to scope integrations and answer technical questions during the sales cycle
- Prioritise a portfolio of long-cycle opportunities — knowing which deals to push, which to nurture, and which to drop
- Build and own the sales process and CRM discipline: pipeline stages, outreach cadence, follow-up, and reporting
What We're Looking For
Must have
- Senior-level B2B sales or business development experience with enterprise or public-sector clients, comfortable operating as an individual contributor
- Professional working English — all regional business (Japan, Malaysia, Philippines) is conducted in English
- Solid technical understanding: able to hold a credible conversation about software solutions, APIs, and system integration
- Experience with government procurement and private-sector commercial processes — TOR, bidding, proposals
- Demonstrated stakeholder management across complex, multi-decision-maker accounts
- Experience structuring a sales process and working systematically in a CRM
Nice to have
- SaaS or technology platform sales background
- Experience selling into transportation, logistics, mobility, or smart city projects
- Regional experience across Southeast Asia or Japan
Compensation
THB 50,000 – 80,000 per month.
Why This Role
You'll be building the commercial function, not inheriting one. High autonomy, direct access to the founding team, and the chance to put transport technology into markets where public transit data is still being built from scratch.
