Key Responsibilities
You will lead front-line commercial development across the assigned territory and support reliable conversion of project demand into repeatable, profitable ready-mix concrete business.
- Market Development & Project Capture: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities across contractors, subcontractors, developers, consultants, and project owners; map active and upcoming projects; build early access to demand before pour schedules are finalized.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with key accounts, procurement teams, project managers, site teams, and consultant stakeholders to improve customer access, retention, and repeat-order potential.
- Quotation & Commercial Follow-up: Prepare and follow up quotations in line with approved pricing strategy, payment terms, site requirements, delivery feasibility, and target margin expectations; support negotiations while maintaining pricing discipline.
- Territory Coverage & Site Visits: Conduct regular visits to customer offices, project sites, consultant teams, and construction stakeholders to generate inquiries, strengthen pipeline quality, and improve market visibility.
- Order Coordination & Pour Planning: Coordinate with dispatch, plant operations, pumping, and logistics teams on pour schedules, quantity requirements, delivery sequencing, site access, and special instructions to ensure accurate and executable commitments.
- Product & Specification Support: Liaise with quality control and technical teams on customer inquiries related to concrete grades, workability, test expectations, and specification-related requirements, while ensuring communication remains commercially accurate and operationally aligned.
- Forecasting & Pipeline Management: Maintain clear visibility over active opportunities, quotations, likely awards, and monthly volume expectations; update CRM records and provide timely forecasts to support plant planning and management reporting.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor pricing, plant locations, service reputation, contractor movement, and project pipeline changes; provide actionable insights to management to support commercial decision-making.
- Collections Support & Credit Discipline: Work closely with finance and credit control to follow up overdue balances, support collections discussions, and ensure order release is aligned with approved credit terms and risk controls.
- Complaint Handling & Service Recovery: Manage customer complaints related to delays, order errors, rejected loads, delivery issues, and service gaps; coordinate with internal teams on investigation, corrective action, and customer communication.
- Operational Alignment: Maintain strong day-to-day coordination with plant, dispatch, quality, and customer service teams to support smooth order execution and reduce commercial or service breakdowns.
- Ethics, Safety & Professional Conduct: Represent the company professionally at all times; comply with site safety requirements, customer protocols, and ethical commercial practices in all field and customer-facing activities.
