About the Role
As a Senior Learning Designer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering modern digital learning solutions that support organisational capability, performance, and transformation initiatives.
You will work closely with stakeholders, subject matter experts, project teams, and change leaders to create engaging learning experiences across a variety of formats including eLearning, blended learning, facilitator-led programs, digital resources, and performance support tools.
This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence strategic learning outcomes and showcase your expertise across major organisational projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop engaging digital learning solutions aligned to adult learning principles
- Partner with business stakeholders and SMEs to analyse learning needs and recommend appropriate solutions
- Create innovative eLearning modules, blended learning pathways, and interactive learning experiences
- Develop learning strategies and capability frameworks aligned to organisational goals
- Manage multiple learning projects simultaneously within complex environments
- Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder engagement activities
- Support organisational change initiatives through targeted learning interventions
- Review and continuously improve learning effectiveness and learner engagement
- Contribute to learning governance, standards, and best practice frameworks
- Mentor and support junior learning designers where required
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
Learning Design & Capability Experience
- Extensive experience in Learning Design, Instructional Design, or Organisational Capability roles
- Strong understanding of adult learning methodologies and learner engagement principles
- Experience designing learning solutions for large or complex organisations
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders across multiple business areas
- Experience supporting transformation, change, or system implementation projects
- Strong facilitation and workshop design capability
- Exceptional written communication and content development skills
- Ability to simplify complex information into engaging learner experiences
eLearning & Digital Learning Skills
Strong hands-on experience with digital learning technologies and tools including:
- Articulate Storyline 360
- Rise 360
- Adobe Captivate
- Camtasia - ideal
- Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Interactive learning design
- Microlearning development
- Multimedia content creation
- Digital assessment design
- Accessibility and inclusive learning design principles
Experience with:
- AI-assisted learning tools
- Learning analytics
- Virtual learning environments
would be highly advantageous.
