We are seeking an experienced and innovative Learning Designer to join a positive and productive team delivering high-quality digital learning solutions that support capability development across the organisation.

This is a hybrid role, with a requirement to work in the office one day per week, and the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.

About the Role

As one of the Learning Designers, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging eLearning solutions that align with organisational goals and adult learning principles.

You will work closely with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and project teams to transform complex content into interactive, accessible, and effective digital learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality eLearning modules, digital learning resources, and blended learning programmes
  • Translate technical or policy-based content into engaging, learner-focused experiences
  • Apply instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM)
  • Develop storyboards, scripts, and interactive learning content
  • Collaborate with SMEs to ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Ensure learning solutions meet accessibility and usability standards
  • Evaluate learning effectiveness and recommend improvements
  • Manage multiple learning projects and meet delivery deadlines

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in instructional design and eLearning development
  • Strong working knowledge of eLearning authoring tools such as:
    • Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise)
    • Adobe Captivate
    • Camtasia
  • Experience designing for Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Understanding of adult learning theory and learner engagement strategies
  • Experience creating interactive content including quizzes, simulations, scenario-based learning
  • Strong written communication and content structuring skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a government or regulated environment (preferred)

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working within a Learning Design team
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Experience developing blended learning programmes
  • Familiarity with change management or organisational capability initiatives
