Data Engineer
Overview
An international technology-driven organization is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using a modern data stack. The role involves working with cloud infrastructure, ETL processes, and data architecture to empower data-driven decision-making across the business.
Main Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and maintain robust data infrastructure using tools like AWS, Databricks, DBT, and Power BI.

Build ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, and Apache Spark, integrating data from diverse sources.

Implement data governance standards, including quality controls and monitoring, to ensure integrity, compliance, and security.

Collaborate with business and technical teams to resolve data-related issues and support analytics initiatives.

Ensure data systems are scalable and performant to meet evolving organizational needs.
Key Requirements

Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.

Hands-on experience with data processing technologies, including Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka.

Familiarity with modern cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.

Knowledge of handling various data formats like JSON, Parquet, CSV, and XML.

Experience building and managing batch and streaming pipelines, including change data capture (CDC) mechanisms.

Practical knowledge of AWS services including S3, Glue, DMS, and EC2.

Comfortable with version control systems, CI/CD practices, and documentation standards (e.g., Git, DBT, Confluence).

Ability to work effectively within Agile teams and contribute to iterative development cycles.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have

Familiarity with additional programming languages like R, Scala, C++, or SAS.
