Position Overview
A leading global technology company in the smart energy sector is looking for an experienced Infrastructure DBA to join its SaaS production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the stability, performance, and scalability of large-scale data platforms, working closely with development teams to ensure efficient and optimized data operations.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain and administer high-availability database environments, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.

Collaborate with development teams to review implementations, offer best practice guidance, and optimize database queries and structures.

Automate infrastructure tasks using Python and Ansible, reducing manual intervention and enhancing system reliability.

Proactively monitor and improve system performance using tools such as Grafana and custom performance dashboards.

Contribute to the design and evolution of the next-generation data platform.

Manage version control and automation tools including Git and Jenkins for deployment and monitoring workflows.
Required Experience & Skills

3-5 years of hands-on experience as an infrastructure DBA or in a data operations role.

Strong expertise in managing one or more of the following database systems: Vertica, Cassandra, MySQL, MariaDB.

Solid experience working on Linux-based servers.

Advanced skills in automation scripting with Python and Ansible.

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

High level of curiosity, ownership, and motivation for continuous learning and improvement.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Kafka and streaming data environments.

Familiarity with DevOps and monitoring tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, Kubernetes).

Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, especially AWS or VMware.

Experience managing ETL pipelines.

Background in performance tuning and resolving performance-related issues.

Bachelors degree in a related technical field is a plus.
