Key Responsibilities:
Integrate and configure telecom network elements (2G/3G/4G networks) to support IoT services, ensuring network compatibility and optimal performance.
Understand and implement telecom network architecture, nodes, call flows, and topologies for IoT applications, including familiarity with 5G technologies.
Manage and configure essential telecom protocols (SS7, Diameter, GTP, Radius, SMPP, HTTP) to support seamless message flows and service activations within IoT networks.
Troubleshoot message flows and network issues, ensuring optimal communication between network nodes and services.
Maintain and configure Linux environments (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS7) for IoT telecom systems.
Automate system administration tasks and monitor system performance through Bash scripting and related tools.
Troubleshoot and configure network services and protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and DNS to maintain network connectivity.
Conduct packet captures and network analysis using tools like Wireshark and tshark to resolve connectivity or performance issues.
Manage MySQL databases, ensuring data replication, clustering, and fault tolerance to guarantee high availability and reliability in IoT environments.
Configure and maintain databases for optimal performance, ensuring smooth data transactions within telecom systems.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in telecom system integration, preferably within IoT or telecommunications environments.
Strong experience with 2G/3G/4G networks and familiarity with emerging 5G technologies.
Hands-on experience with telecom protocols, including SS7, Diameter, GTP, Radius, SMPP, HTTP.
Familiar with networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS), their configuration, and troubleshooting.
Proficient in Linux/Unix systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS 7), with a focus on system administration and scripting in Bash.
Strong experience with MySQL and its features like replication, clustering, and ensuring high availability.
Ability to troubleshoot network issues using tools like Wireshark, tshark, and packet captures.
Understanding of virtualization, containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes (K8s) is advantageous.
Knowledge of high availability and fault tolerance systems to ensure telecom solutions remain operational.
Personal Attributes:
Experience working in and supporting mission-critical environments where uptime and reliability are paramount.
Demonstrated ability to work in a production environment, managing live services, troubleshooting, and ensuring system stability.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when diagnosing network issues and system failures.
Desirable Qualifications:
5G network experience or understanding of the latest telecom technologies in IoT applications.
Familiarity with cloud-based telecom solutions and network automation tools.
Previous experience in IoT telecom environments or integration projects is a plus.
