About the Company

Our client is a well-established manufacturing company specializing in high-quality metal components and industrial products. The company serves both domestic and international markets, with a strong focus on operational excellence, supply chain efficiency, and continuous improvement. They are seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships, and import procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, vendor selection, RFQs, Purchase Orders (PO), and supplier performance evaluation.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, contracts, and delivery schedules to achieve cost-effective purchasing.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with local and international suppliers.
  • Source high-quality raw materials and components at competitive prices while ensuring supply continuity.
  • Manage import procurement processes, including permits, licensing, customs documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure purchased materials meet technical specifications, quality standards, and engineering drawing requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align procurement with production planning and inventory requirements.
  • Monitor supplier delivery performance and provide regular updates on shipment and arrival schedules.
  • Ensure timely supplier payments in accordance with agreed contractual terms.
  • Maintain accurate procurement transactions and master data within the ERP/SAP system.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement risks, including supply disruptions, price fluctuations, and long lead times.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement efficiency and cost savings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of procurement experience, preferably within the metal manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of metal raw materials such as steel, aluminum, alloys, and related manufacturing processes.
  • Proven experience in supplier sourcing, evaluation, contract management, and strategic negotiations.
  • Familiarity with international sourcing, import regulations, and customs documentation.
  • Strong understanding of procurement planning, inventory control, and supply chain management.
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office.
  • Good understanding of PPIC integration and production planning.
  • Strong analytical, cost analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Knowledge of metal pricing drivers, including LME trends, scrap pricing, alloy composition, and procurement risk management.
