Job Description:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Civil Manager to support the planning, execution, and monitoring of civil and infrastructure projects within our manufacturing facilities. The role involves assisting the Civil Manager in coordinating project activities, supervising site works, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Civil Manager in planning, scheduling, and executing civil and structural projects related to manufacturing facilities.
- Supervise contractors, consultants, and site teams to ensure construction works meet design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or risks, and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Support in preparing and reviewing project documentation, including drawings, BOQs, contracts, and progress reports.
- Coordinate with internal departments (production, maintenance, HSE, procurement) to align project requirements with operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental standards, and company safety policies.
- Assist in cost estimation, budget control, and resource planning for civil projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to timelines, safety practices, and quality benchmarks.
- Report project status to the Civil Manager and management, highlighting key achievements, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in project execution and construction methodologies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering or construction project management, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction standards, project management, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in project management tools and engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
