About the job Insurance Specialist (Risk Deputy Manager)
Key Responsibilities
Insurance Management
Support in the renewal and/or new placement of corporate insurance policies (such as Industrial All Risk, Marine, Liability, Construction All Risk, Credit, Medical etc) across the Group in various jurisdictions worldwide.
Manage the end-to-end insurance placement process including coordinating with division finance controller and plant engineering teams to arrange risk surveys and asset valuations for insurance purposes. Conduct detailed review of policy wordings, identify coverage gaps and negotiate for improved terms and premium rates with insurers and brokers.
Oversee and manage all major insurance claims. Coordinate with loss adjusters, insurers, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely notification, proper documentation, and optimal claim recovery.
Support M&A activities including insurance due diligence and arranging insurance coverage for new projects.
Prepare the annual insurance budget and forecasts. Compare terms and premiums among group companies and analyse loss ratios and market trends to improve renewal outcomes.

Experience
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience handling insurance in a manufacturing company or insurance broker or insurance companies.
Education
Bachelors degree in risk management, finance or a related field.
Skills / Knowledge / Competencies
- Strong understanding of policy wordings and claims handling processes.
- Experience dealing with international insurance markets is an advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- High attention to detail with strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
- IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proactive team player with ability to work independently.
