Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Technology Solutions Architect, the System Administrator provides system administration, operational support, problem resolution, and performs hardware and software installations and upgrades on servers in the PBS environment inclusive of clients site.
Key responsibilities include:
- Installing, upgrading and maintaining hardware (including installation of servers, cabling, and rack installation), and software for Windows-based operating systems and services (e.g., print services);
- Managing and maintaining backups via PBS DSR solution. Managing and maintaining Anti-Virus solution for all clients, PBS included.
- Configuring and managing Windows Server Active Directories, Windows SharePoint Services and Office 365;
- Maintain and implement Cloud-based technology services
- Performing regular system maintenance tasks for Windows servers, including updates, patches and reviewing server logs and performing backup and restore tasks;
- Providing 2nd level support for diagnosing and troubleshooting Windows system related issues, and liaising with other members of the Help Desk and Infrastructure Teams to quickly resolve issues;
- Collecting and reviewing system data for capacity and planning purposes; analysing capacity data and working with the IT Supervisor to develop capacity plans for appropriate level enterprise-wide systems;
- Documenting standards and operating procedures for the system(s) and maintaining updated system documentation.
- Providing Windows-system related advise, expertise and support to various application implementation projects;
- Working the Strategy, Planning and Operations Team to assist in developing procurement requests, reporting on progress of Windows system implementation efforts, and coordinating Windows system implementation activities to minimize impact to production systems and application projects.
Technical Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, and minimum 2 years related work experience, MSCA, and VMware certification.
OR
- 4 years related work experience and MSCA certification.
- Demonstrated experience in Windows System administration and managing network environment.
- Excellent knowledge of current principles, best practices and trends in sever-based technology

- Strong customer service, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Self-motivated with the ability to execute assignments without direct supervision
