SAP FICO Functional Consultant – Implementation & Support

We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Functional Consultant for a long-term engagement with a leading multinational manufacturing organization in Indonesia.

The selected consultant will participate in SAP S/4HANA implementation, rollout, post-go-live stabilization, ongoing application support, and continuous improvement activities.

This is a long-term opportunity requiring strong SAP FICO functional expertise, knowledge of Indonesian statutory requirements, manufacturing industry experience, and the ability to work closely with local business users and global SAP teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP Implementation & Functional Support

• Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementation, rollout, and stabilization activities.
• Provide ongoing SAP FICO functional support to business users.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve SAP incidents, functional issues, and business process challenges.
• Support configuration changes, enhancements, and continuous process improvements.
• Coordinate with technical teams and other SAP functional consultants to resolve integration-related issues.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.

2. Indonesian Localization & Compliance

• Ensure SAP FICO processes align with Indonesian statutory, taxation, and financial reporting requirements.
• Support Indonesian VAT (PPN), withholding tax (PPh), and other applicable tax requirements.
• Understand accounting and financial processes related to Indonesian Bonded Warehouses (KBLI 52103).
• Coordinate with local Finance and Compliance teams on statutory and regulatory requirements.

3. Business Process & Data Management

• Work with the Central Implementation Team to align local business requirements with the Global SAP Template.
• Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, and user manuals.
• Support master data preparation, validation, migration, and ongoing data quality activities.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.

4. Testing, Training & Knowledge Transfer

• Actively participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Train-the-Trainer (TTT) activities.
• Prepare and execute functional test scenarios.
• Conduct end-user training and knowledge-transfer sessions.
• Support go-live, hypercare, and post-go-live activities.
• Provide ongoing guidance and functional assistance to business users.

5. Application Support & Continuous Improvement

• Handle day-to-day SAP FICO support requests, incidents, and service tickets.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend permanent solutions for recurring issues.
• Support SAP enhancements, change requests, and system improvements.
• Maintain functional documentation and knowledge repositories.
• Collaborate with global support teams to ensure system stability and operational continuity.

6. Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as a bridge between Indonesian business users and global SAP implementation/support teams.
• Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Sales, Manufacturing, and IT departments.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve functional and operational issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–8 years of SAP FICO functional experience, including implementation and application support.
• Participation in at least one SAP S/4HANA implementation project.
• Strong knowledge of SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, AA) and CO (Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing).
• Hands-on experience in SAP FICO support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Understanding of manufacturing industry business processes.
• Knowledge of Indonesian statutory requirements and localization.
• Familiarity with bonded warehouse operations and associated financial processes.
• Experience in UAT, TTT, data migration, and end-user training.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP certification in FICO or SAP S/4HANA Finance.
• Experience in manufacturing, chemicals, textiles, or process industries.
• Knowledge of SAP integration with MM, SD, PP, and other modules.
• Experience with SAP support ticketing systems and incident management.
• Familiarity with Global SAP Templates and multinational implementation environments.
