Job Title: Safety Manager (Steel Component Manufacture), Cikarang

Department: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Reports To: Head of Plant Operational 

Job Summary:

The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies to ensure compliance with national regulations and internal standards. This role plays a key part in creating a safe and compliant working environment across the plant. The Safety Manager must have strong knowledge of industrial safety practices and be trained in DSS Security systems for risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Occupational Health & Safety Compliance
    • Ensure full compliance with government regulations (K3, SMK3, and other applicable laws).
    • Lead audits, inspections, and certifications related to health and safety.
    • Develop and maintain company-wide safety procedures and documentation.
  2. DSS Security System Management
    • Utilize Decision Support System (DSS) tools for safety risk analysis, reporting, and strategic planning.
    • Train safety teams and supervisors on using DSS tools for incident tracking, monitoring, and prevention.
    • Interpret DSS data to propose improvements in plant safety protocols.
  3. Risk Management & Accident Prevention
    • Identify potential hazards in production, maintenance, and logistics areas.
    • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action plans for any incidents or near misses.
    • Coordinate safety drills, emergency response planning, and PPE compliance.
  4. Training & Awareness Programs
    • Conduct safety training programs for employees, contractors, and new hires.
    • Promote safety culture through regular briefings, campaigns, and internal communications.
    • Ensure all safety personnel are certified and trained according to national and company standards.
  5. Team Leadership & Coordination
    • Supervise HSE officers and safety support staff.
    • Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance departments to support safe operations.
    • Monitor contractor and visitor safety compliance on-site.
  6. Reporting & Documentation
    • Maintain records of incidents, inspections, safety meetings, and training.
    • Prepare monthly reports for management and regulatory bodies.
    • Monitor key safety indicators (KPI), and implement continuous improvement plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Certified in K3 Umum (General OHS) or K3 Spesialis (preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years experience in safety/HSE management in a manufacturing or heavy industry.
  • Trained and experienced in DSS Security systems or similar safety-related software tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian HSE regulations, ISO 45001, and SMK3 standards.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Willing to work in factory/plant environment and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Good communication in English
