We are currently assisting our client in the lifestyle and consumer goods industry to find a dynamic and strategic Social Media Specialist. 

Job Qualifications:

  • Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written); native or advanced proficiency is essential for effective communication with the target audience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in social media management or digital content creation.
  • Strong expertise in major social media platforms (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, WeChat, etc.).
  • Proven ability to create and translate engaging content between Mandarin and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Strong understanding of cultural nuances, online behavior, and content preferences in Mandarin-speaking communities.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools to track engagement, campaign performance, and audience insights.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to brainstorm, execute, and adapt content strategies based on feedback and trends.
  • Preferably has experience in the retail, FMCG, lifestyle, or vape/electronic cigarette industry.

Job Description:

Content Creation & Coordination

  • Translate and adapt content from Bahasa Indonesia to Mandarin and vice versa.
  • Collaborate closely with both the Indonesia and China teams to develop engaging, localized content.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the brand's tone, voice, and communication guidelines.

Community Engagement

  • Monitor and respond to conversations on social media, ensuring a positive online brand presence.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, or feedback in a timely and professional manner.

Social Media Strategy & Analysis

  • Work with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies tailored to Mandarin-speaking audiences, including paid campaigns, influencer collaborations, and community outreach.
  • Track and analyze social media performance; adjust strategies based on engagement data, trends, and feedback.

Cultural & Market Research

  • Stay updated on social media trends, pop culture, and audience behavior relevant to Mandarin-speaking users.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to identify industry trends and differentiate the brand effectively.

Brand Consistency & Communication

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (marketing, PR, design, content, and China team) to ensure consistency across all digital and social media touchpoints.
  • Support broader marketing campaigns by aligning social media content with overall business goals.
