About the job Delivery Manager - Smart Utility Industry
We are representing a rapidly scaling technology innovator specializing in Smart Grid and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solutions. With a proven track record of empowering utility companies through cutting-edge digital platforms, our Client is seeking experienced professionals to support and lead mission-critical energy infrastructure projects across the region.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of infrastructure, IT, or service transformation projects within the utility sector-covering initiatives such as smart metering, grid upgrades, and digital customer platforms.
- Manage cross-functional collaboration among internal teams (engineering, operations, IT) and external vendors to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Serve as the main liaison between clients and internal stakeholders, aligning on scope, schedules, key milestones, and performance indicators.
- Track project budgets, timelines, risks, and resource allocation; proactively implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure all project activities adhere to industry regulations, environmental guidelines, and health and safety standards.
- Prepare and maintain clear documentation, reporting tools, and dashboards for leadership oversight.
- Promote ongoing improvements in delivery practices whether Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches to boost execution efficiency.
- Facilitate change management, user training, and operational handovers during project rollout phases.
Requirements:
- A Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is required; a Masters degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project or delivery management, ideally within the utilities or energy sector.
- Demonstrated success leading complex, large-scale initiatives such as SCADA systems, AMI deployments, or CRM platform upgrades from planning through execution.
- Solid understanding of utility industry regulations, customer service operations, and emerging technologies like IoT, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder communication, and negotiation capabilities.
- Skilled in using project management platforms (e.g., MS Project, Jira, SAP) and applying recognized frameworks (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile).
