Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly analytical and independent Head of Data Analyst to take ownership of the data analytics function in an insurance-related company. This role is responsible for leading end-to-end data initiatives and performance monitoring across all lines of insurance business, delivering insights that drive strategic decisions and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of data analysis, reporting, and business performance tracking across various insurance product lines.
  • Design and manage dashboards, KPIs, and analytical reports to monitor utilization trends, claims patterns, and portfolio profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Account Management, Claims, Product, Business Development other key business functions to identify analytical needs and deliver impactful insights.
  • Translate complex datasets into meaningful recommendations to support leadership decisions and business planning.
  • Continuously improve data structures, reporting processes, and visualization tools for greater efficiency and clarity.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis using internal and external data sources to support strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards and OJK regulations.
  • Present findings in a clear, concise manner tailored to both internal and client-facing stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary go-to person for all data-related insights, working closely with various departments without direct reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Insurance, or a related field; Masters degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence within the insurance industry, across multiple insurance product lines.
  • Strong understanding of how data supports performance management across all lines of insurance business.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office suite, not limited to Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Phython is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident in communicating insights clearly and persuasively to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of OJK regulations and insurance data standards.
  • Holding professional certifications issued by AAMAI or APARI is a strong advantage.
