Estimator / Cost Control Specialist

Location: Nusa Dua

Language Requirement: local candidate preferred

Reports To: Owner / Project Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Cost Control Specialist to work directly with the owner

on all aspects of construction cost management. This role requires a deep understanding of

construction technology and economics to ensure accurate cost estimation, effective budget control,

and detection of cost overruns or inflated volume/price claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate directly with the owner to develop, review, and monitor project budgets and cost plans.
  • Analyze contractor and supplier quotations to identify any overstatements or inconsistencies in quantities and pricing.
  • Provide detailed cost estimates during the planning and design phases of the project.
  • Track project expenditures and provide regular cost reports and forecasts.
  • Evaluate variations, change orders, and claims to ensure they are justified and within budget.
  • Support procurement decisions by offering cost insights and benchmarking data.
  • Review drawings and specifications to ensure accurate take-offs and BOQ (Bill of Quantities).
  • Advise on cost-effective construction methods and materials.
  • Communicate and coordinate with contractors, engineers, and consultants as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or Cost Control Specialist (5+ years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Ability to identify overstatements in quantity take-offs and pricing.
  • Fluency in English or familiarity with the local construction market is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in cost estimating software, spreadsheets, and MS Office tools.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field preferred.
