Job Summary

The HR - Payroll Officer is responsible for supporting Compensation & Benefits administration and daily HR operational activities, including payroll processing, BPJS administration, employee records management, onboarding, and HR documentation. This role also supports employee relations, HR compliance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient HR operations in accordance with company policies and Indonesian labor regulations within an international school environment.

Main Responsibilities

1. Compensation & Benefits

  • Handle end-to-end payroll administration including attendance recap, payroll calculation, deductions, and overtime processing.
  • Calculate PPh 21 and ensure payroll compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Manage BPJS administration and employee benefits for local and expatriate employees.
  • Process employee reimbursements, allowances, and other compensation-related matters.
  • Maintain payroll and compensation records accurately and confidentially.

2. HR Administration & Operations

  • Manage employee contracts, employee database, and other HR documentation.
  • Draft official letters, payslips, memos, certificates, and other HR-related correspondence.
  • Maintain and update employee records including payroll, benefits, attendance, leave, and personnel files.
  • Handle daily HR administrative and operational activities related to compensation & benefits and employee support.
  • Support employee onboarding processes including benefits enrollment and employee administrative setup.
  • Ensure HR documents, records, and processes are properly organized and compliant with company policies and procedures.

3. Employee Support, Coordination & HR Compliance

  • Coordinate with employees and departments regarding HR operational matters.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, leave, and HR administration.
  • Coordinate with external parties such as BPJS and other vendors when required.
  • Ensure HR operations comply with company policies and Indonesian labor regulations.
  • Assist in handling employee relations matters and support communication between management and employees.
  • Support HR projects, audits, and other HR initiatives as assigned.
  • Assist the HR Manager in other HR operational and administrative duties.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Management, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits, Payroll, or HR Operations.
  • Strong understanding of payroll administration, employee benefits, HR operations, and Indonesian labor regulations.
  • Familiar with PPh 21 calculation, BPJS administration, payroll processes, and HR documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, and HRIS/payroll systems.
  • Good administrative, organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Detail-oriented, able to maintain confidentiality, and capable of working under deadlines.
  • Able to handle employee inquiries and support employee relations matters professionally.
  • Good command of English, both written and verbal, is preferred.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime when required to support operational needs.
