Supply Chain/Procurement

Our client, a growing company in the agricultural commodity and betel nut (pinang) industry, is currently looking for an experienced Supply Chain / Procurement professional to support their sourcing and procurement operations.

This role will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, sourcing betel nut from various regions across Indonesia, monitoring market conditions, and ensuring a stable supply chain through effective procurement strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Source and procure betel nut (pinang) from suppliers, farmers, and traders across Indonesia.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure stable supply and competitive pricing.
• Monitor local market trends, pricing, and supply conditions within the betel nut industry.
• Negotiate purchasing terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Coordinate with warehouse and quality teams to ensure timely receipt and quality of materials.
• Maintain procurement records and prepare purchasing reports.
• Identify and secure new sourcing opportunities through market visits and supplier networking.
• Travel extensively across Indonesia for sourcing activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in the betel nut (pinang) industry, preferably in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain functions.
• Strong knowledge of the local betel nut market, suppliers, and trading networks.
• Proven experience in supplier management and procurement activities.
• Willing and able to travel frequently across Indonesia.
• Fluent in English with strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Flexible working hours and adaptable to business needs.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
