Job Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations for PET and BOPP film production. This role ensures production targets are achieved efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards, while optimizing cost and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

1 Production Planning & Control

  • Plan, organize, and control daily production activities for PET and BOPP film lines.
  • Ensure production targets (volume, yield, efficiency) are achieved.
  • Monitor machine performance and minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with PPIC to align production schedules with customer demand.

2 Process & Technical Management

  • Supervise extrusion, stretching, winding, and finishing processes.
  • Optimize machine parameters to improve productivity and reduce waste.
  • Work closely with the engineering and maintenance team to ensure smooth machine operation.
  • Lead troubleshooting for production and process-related issues.

3 Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Collaborate with QA/QC team on quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO, safety, and environmental standards.

4 Cost Control & Efficiency

  • Monitor raw material usage (resin, additives).
  • Control production waste and improve yield rate.
  • Implement continuous improvement programs (Lean, 5S, Kaizen).

5 Team Leadership

  • Lead and supervise supervisors, shift leaders, and operators.
  • Develop workforce capability through training and performance evaluation.
  • Foster a culture of safety, discipline, and teamwork.

6 Safety & Environment

  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards.
  • Promote safe working practices on the production floor.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or related field).
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in plastic film manufacturing (PET / BOPP).
  • Strong knowledge of extrusion and film production processes.
  • Experience in high-speed continuous production environment.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Good analytical ability and production KPI management.
