Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations for Malaysia and Indonesia entities, including accounting, treasury, tax, and payroll.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with local regulations and group reporting standards (IFRS/MFRS).
- Consolidate financial reports across both entities and provide variance analysis with actionable recommendations.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead annual budget preparation and rolling forecasts for both markets.
- Monitor financial performance against budget, identifying risks and opportunities to management.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian and Indonesian statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely submission of reports and filings.
- Maintain robust internal controls and risk management frameworks across both entities.
Cash Flow & Treasury
- Manage working capital, cash flow forecasting, and banking relationships for both countries.
- Optimize foreign exchange exposure and cross-border fund transfers in line with group treasury policies.
Business Partnering & Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing financial guidance for business initiatives and investments.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (operations, HR, sales) to drive profitability and cost efficiency.
- Lead and mentor local finance teams in Malaysia and Indonesia, ensuring capability building and alignment with group standards.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial/regional role.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian and Indonesian accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in cross-border financial management and consolidation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership with the ability to manage and develop multi-country teams.
- Proficient in ERP/financial systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to travel between Malaysia and Indonesia when required.
- Prefer Chinese Speaking candidate.
