About the Role

As part of a specialist team providing ExProof electrical products and services to oil & gas refineries (like those on Jurong Island), youll be the on-site technical-sales expert. Engage with VPs of Maintenance, E&I engineers, and procurement to understand their needs, specify solutions, and ensure safe, long-term operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical advisor and point of contact for refinery clients, understanding their explosion risk classification and operational requirements.
  • Lead site visits and inspections on Jurong Island, perform gap analyses around explosion protection and instrumentation needs.
  • Prepare quotations and technical proposals (spec sheets, hazardous area ratings, certifications).
  • Support project implementation: order tracking, coordination with internal teams and subcontractors, verifying installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, enabling repeat sales and referrals.
  • Stay current on industry standards (IECEx, ATEX, API, etc.) and competitor offerings.
  • Document leads, proposals, progress, and outcomes in CRM for pipeline management.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering (fresh grads welcome).
  • Ability to travel to Jurong Island (own transport required).
  • Strong communication, technical-writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with high ownership mentality and willingness to learn on the job.
