About the job Operations Manager (OSV) - Ship Management

Responsibilities

  • Support project leaders in managing all operational activities.

  • Oversee vessel movements to ensure safety and efficiency.

  • Work with managers in areas such as HSE, procurement, crewing, maintenance, and repairs to minimize downtime and maintain smooth operations.

  • Ensure compliance with maritime laws, safety regulations, and company standards.

  • Communicate with stakeholders including ship masters, clients, and regulatory authorities.

  • Develop and execute operational plans such as cargo handling, stowage, tow arrangements, and voyage scheduling.

  • Assess and mitigate risks in marine operations, coordinating with safety teams to conduct risk assessments, implement safety procedures, and handle emergencies.

  • Manage resources including fuel, supplies, and vessel equipment.

  • Monitor and control operational costs and assist in budget development.

  • Suggest and implement workflow improvements to boost efficiency, customer satisfaction, and problem prevention.

  • Carry out additional ad-hoc duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Marine Management or at least 3 years of relevant marine operations experience.

  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin to liaise effectively with teams, authorities, and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
