Qualifications & Experience

1. Bachelors degree or above in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Ship

Structural Engineering, Mechanics, or related disciplines.

2. Strong foundation in structural mechanics, strength of materials, steel structure

design, and welding technology.

3. Minimum 5 years of experience in ship or offshore structural design, with full

participation in at least 1–2 detailed design or production design projects.

4. Proven ability to independently design major structural areas, such as hull blocks,

decks, foundations, or structural bases.

5. Experience in jacket platforms or similar offshore structures is an advantage, with

knowledge of marine environmental loads, fatigue and fracture analysis, and

corrosion protection design.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform structural analysis and detailed design for shipbuilding and offshore

projects in accordance with class rules and project specifications.

2. Develop and review structural drawings, calculations, and technical

documents for fabrication and construction.

3. Apply appropriate marine environmental loads, strength criteria, and fatigue

considerations in structural design.

4. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and constructible

structural solutions.

5. Support yard, fabrication, and site activities, responding to technical queries and

resolving design issues.

Software & Technical Skills

1. Proficient in AutoCAD for structural drafting.

2. Experience with at least one of the following engineering/design tools:

o AVEVA Marine

o CATIA

o NX for Shipbuilding

o Revit
